Research Collaboration

Organizations implementing initiatives to improve workplace culture often wish to understand the effectiveness of those efforts. C-Change can work as an external evaluator or in a collaborative role to help organizations assess an intervention’s effectiveness. Two examples of our partnerships are described below.

NIH FIRST Program

The NIH Common Fund supports the FIRST initiative—Faculty Institutional Recruitment for Sustainable Transformation—to “enhance and maintain cultures of inclusive excellence in the biomedical research community,” and Morehouse School of Medicine is the Coordination and Evaluation Center (CEC) for this initiative. Working with Morehouse, C-Change administers the validated C-Change Faculty Survey to participating institutions as a key assessment of institutional culture in this multi-site, multi-year initiative.

MAVEN

The C-Change Faculty Survey is used as an evaluation tool for the NIH-funded MAVEN senior scientist initiative directed by Northwell Health. The MAVEN Institute is a national educational trial and mentorship program that aims to support and advance the careers of women, particularly women of color, in science and healthcare.
